Lorraine Alison Coffey was born in Dublin, Ireland. She lived most of her life in the village of Shankill, just outside the port town of Dun Laoghaire.
In her youth, Lorrie pursued her dream to represent her country in the Olympics, and she went a considerable way along this road. In her chosen event of javelin, she became the youngest member of the Irish Schools Athletics team, and a number of years later she had the honour of serving as captain of the same team, achieving Gold at national and European levels.
Her success led her to train with the U.K. Olympic coach in Britain, when a serious back injury cut short a very promising career.
Life, through a series of events, became increasingly difficult for Lorrie, both emotionally and physically, until, at the age of 28, she had a life changing spiritual experience that would completely change the direction of her life.

After the experience, Lorrie felt compelled to express her experiences through painting, writing and sculpting. As this new direction and adventure unfolded, so too did the beauty and magic within her life. Having never painted before, nor studied art, she began to paint using her fingers and pastel.
One night Lorrie had a dream that she was to hang her paintings and writings in a large room to the side of her house in Rathdrum, Ireland and that she was simply to open the doors to the public. Lorrie and Eugene placed a sign for the Angel Art Sanctuary outside their house and it was then that the real adventure began.

Each painting is an expression of the steps along Lorries' journey, but equally each painting is a doorway for other souls to be inspired, uplifted and comforted. Surrounded by the love of these angelic messengers, people who visited out of curiosity began to have their own experiences, heaven reaching out to them in many different ways. From these simple beginnings, the story of the Sanctuary continues to unfold.
Lorrie and her family have now brought the Angel Sanctuary to the beautiful and sacred lands of the South East of France.
