We are blessed to share some very special experiences from people who find themselves at the Sanctuary. From time to time we will share one or more of these inspiring and beautiful stories with our visitors. If you have had an experience either at the Angel Sanctuary or on our website we would love to hear your story.

Where Lorrie's Angels can be found
Where the Angels have found a home is as diverse as the world we live in - from being gifted to Prince Charles at a dinner in Scotland to the inmate on death row Texas the Angels are comfortable wherever they find themselves.

They can be found in several hospitals like the cancer ward of St Vincents Dublin to the cancer unit of the National Childrens unit in Crumlin Dublin.

The Angel of Balance was bought by a doctor whose work involves treating patients with personality disorders. They are to be found in nursing homes and maternity wards. We get several letters from people in prison who have received cards from family and loved ones.

Some people collect the angels for their home, while others make a room or corner and prepare a special sanctuary for themselves. They decorate nurseries and children's bedrooms. We have even been asked for permission to use as a tattoo...

They have been gifted in celebration of birth, christening, engagement, religious and non religious celebrations, weddings - they cross the religious divide. They are gifted as a gesture of support during times of illness and during times of sadness and after the passing of a loved one.

They have been taken to the rain forests of the Amazon and to the sacred sights around the world. Many have told us they always carry an angel bookmark on their travels as it brings them comfort. They can be found in therapy rooms, meditation centers and clinics across the globe.

The stories we receive and hear often make you cry but there are times to laugh as well, like when we were contacted by the London Met who were trying to apprehend an escaped fraudster. We received a phone call that a South American man was being sought by the Met and he had in his possession a Lorrie's Angels bookmark The Angel of Balance and the detective in question felt that he may pass our way as he had an interest in our work. Frankly we thought we were being wound up until that evening on the six o clock news we read that he had been apprehended in Dublin city having bought almost 100,000 euro of goods on the high street using false credit cards that he had stolen earlier from a top hotel.

So as you can see - the Angels have a way of touching people no matter who or what they are.

Recognition
"Sometimes when a person touches base, even slightly, you recognise something that has been with you since you were born. Something, or better still, someone. I have always been a bit sceptical about the angels people portrayed. To me it seemed to be an image out of a fairy tale story more than out of a spiritual awakening. So when my husband proposed a visit to the Angel Art Sanctuary in June 2009, I was not exited. But we decided to go, because he really wanted to see the place. As I would later come to understand, the Universe works in mysterious ways.

Open minded we entered the Sanctuary, and peace surrounded us. We enjoyed the atmosphere as it sort of touched us and made us calm. Then I saw him. He who came to me many, many years ago, teaching me deeper understandings during a wonderful dream, which I had almost forgotten. He, who kept me safe in my darkest hour when I prayed. He, who stood by me, when my world fell apart. He, who looked so content, when I made my bigger achievements. As if he said, I told you so! I always addressed him as my fire angel, Archangel Michael. But what was he doing here, in the hills of ancient France, on a painting?

I couldn't help it. I started to cry of joy! The shock of seeing something that I thought was a personal vision right before me on a painting was too great! The text which accompanied the painting, also written by Lorraine Coffey, touched my heart in places I thought did not exist. The recognition of one of Lorrie's Angels being my dear fire angel, Michael, was quite an experience. It made one thing very clear to me. Lorrie's artwork is not just artwork and her Angels are not just her mind's creations. They are real. They simply come to us in a shape which is easy for us to understand. Their antropomorphication is personal, but their existence is absolute. And from this day forward, I feel the strength of their existence, lifting me up, more than ever before."

A visitor...

The child and the sceptic
One afternoon a mother and daughter came to visit the Angel Sanctuary. I really didn't think they would be very long, as the little girl was no more than five years. A good time later I was somewhat surprised to see the little girl still sitting quietly in front of the one of the Angels.

As we find everyone has a story, and the little girls mammy related hers to me; the door to the Sanctuary burst open and a woman entered. Straight away she announced that she did not believe in a God or the Angels, but she had come out of curiosity and a willingness to search. With that the little girl called to her mammy. Saying "Mammy the Angel is talking to me." Her mammy asked what the angel was saying. The little girl replied: "well, I asked the angel, I asked that granny will not die." Her mum enquired what the angel said;. "The Angel told me that granny will never die as she will always be remembered in my heart and in the hearts of all who love her."

With that the lady on hearing what the little girl had to say, broke down and went to sit at one of the Angels.

This simply showed how God and the Angels work. The words the child spoke were certainly not of a four year old and the timing was meant for the lady who was so full of doubt. What a beautiful message the lady had been brought.

The Angel of Passage and the man from Scotland
It was a beautiful sunny, summer's day when John and his wife Ruth from Scotland found themselves in the Angel Sanctuary. I introduced them to the story and left them to spend time alone in the Sanctuary.

They had left when I returned some time later.

The following day Ruth called back and asked to speak to me.

"You know", she said, "When we were back in our hotel room, my husband John for the first time ever told me how during the war he was saved by an Angel. In all our years together he had never shared this with me or anyone else for that matter."

"I was simply stunned."

"When we stepped into the Sanctuary yesterday and walked over to the Angel of Passage, John shared with me that he had a very beautiful and overwhelming experience which brought him back to his experience during the war when he believed an Angel saved his life. He believed the Angel had returned to touch him once again through the Angel of Passage." Ruth said, "I just had to come back and tell you his story and do you know she said. After sharing his beautiful experience with me for the first time he also told me how much he loved me which he hadn't done in a very long time."

"I am so happy!" she said...
